Aadhaar Enabled Payment System
Let customers withdraw cash, check their balance or print a mini statement using only their Aadhaar number and fingerprint — no card, no PIN.
Bank-grade cash withdrawal at a retail counter
AEPS uses the customer's Aadhaar number and a fingerprint or iris scan to authenticate directly with their bank, so they can withdraw cash, check their balance or pull a mini statement without carrying a debit card. As a SilverPe partner, you provide the counter, the biometric device and the connectivity — the authentication and settlement run through the SilverPe AEPS gateway.
Cash withdrawal
Withdraw from any Aadhaar-linked bank account using fingerprint authentication.
Balance enquiry
Check the available balance in a linked account without visiting a branch or ATM.
Mini statement
Print the last few transactions for a linked account directly at the counter.
Compatible devices
Works with all RD-service compliant biometric devices registered with STQC/UIDAI.
Real-time success tracking
Every attempt — successful, failed or pending — is logged in your dashboard instantly.

AEPS service terms
These terms apply specifically to the AEPS service and are in addition to the general SilverPe partner agreement accepted at registration.
- AEPS transactions may only be processed using the customer's own Aadhaar number and biometric authentication, captured with the customer physically present at the counter.
- The partner is responsible for verifying that the customer consents to the use of their Aadhaar and biometric data solely for the requested transaction.
- Per-transaction and daily withdrawal limits are set by UIDAI and the customer's bank, and may change without prior notice from SilverPe.
- The biometric device used must be certified and registered as required under applicable UIDAI guidelines; SilverPe is not responsible for devices sourced outside its recommended list.
- Where a transaction fails after debiting the customer's account, the amount is reconciled and reversed to the customer's bank account within the timeline set by the bank, typically within 24-48 hours.
- Commission is payable only on transactions marked "successful" in the SilverPe dashboard; disputed or reversed transactions do not earn commission.
- The partner must not charge the customer any amount over and above the transaction value and any convenience fee disclosed in the dashboard.
- SilverPe may suspend AEPS access for any partner ID showing repeated failed authentications, suspected misuse, or complaints of unauthorised withdrawal.
- Wallet balance used to fund AEPS float is non-transferable between partner IDs except through the distributor-to-retailer transfer flow in the dashboard.
- These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the AEPS service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Questions about the AEPS service
Any bank account linked to Aadhaar and enabled for AEPS by the customer's bank can be used; the dashboard lists supported banks at the time of transaction.
The transaction is declined at the authentication step and no amount is debited. The customer can retry or use an alternate finger.
Only the Aadhaar number and a valid fingerprint are required; no physical bank passbook or card is needed.
